Memory Modules

Notes

 The maximum amount of system memory the

server supports is 512 MB.

 The server has four connectors for installing

system-memory modules, banks 0 through 3.

 The server comes with one or more dual-inline

memory modules (DIMMs) installed.

 Install DIMMs with a maximum height of 6.35 cm

(2.5 inches).

 Use only 3.3 V unbuffered DIMMs.

 The server supports 32 MB, 64 MB, and

128 MB DIMMs.

 When you are installing memory modules, install

them in adjacent connectors, with no vacant

memory connectors in between.

 If you are installing DIMMs of different sizes,

install the DIMMs with greater memory capacity

starting with the connector closest to the edge of

the system board (Bank 0).

 After installing or removing a DIMM, you must

save the new configuration information using the

Configuration/Setup Utility program. See

“Configuration/Setup Utility Program Menus” on

page 19.
